St Desir War Cemetery, Normandy

The 4th Middlesex battalion of 8 Brigade, 3rd Division had been heavily involved in the early fighting of the war both in the Battle of Mons in August, 1914 and the Battle of the Aisne in September. Jeremiah Daley died from unknown causes on 21st September. He is buried in a cemetery near the city of Caen, in Normandy, many miles from the Western Front but as yet there is no further information concerning his death.
